    Purpose:

    To implement the Housing Act 2004.

    Decision:

    To delegate authority to Officers to use a range of powers established by the Housing Act 2004 in relation to private sector housing enforcement work.

    Reasons for the decision:

    To implement Government legislation designed to ensure local authorities prioritise housing enforcement action on those houses in worst condition.

    Alternative options considered:

    None.

    Resource Implications:

    Not known at present.  The Cabinet requested the COMT to consider these once the necessary actions were taking place.
