Purpose:
To provide an update on the Zero Based Budgeting process in preparation for the 2016/17 Budget and Medium Term Financial Strategy.
Decision:
The Cabinet considered and commented on the progress of the ZBB programme to date and the Tranche 2 savings proposals noted in Appendix 1 of the Officer’s report.
Reasons for the decision:
To ensure that there is continued strategic support of the Zero Based Budgeting process and that the Cabinet fully support the Tranche 2 proposed savings following the July Star Chamber.
