    Reasons for the decision:

The Community Chest funding scheme recognises the Council’s longstanding financial support to small projects delivered by community groups and volunteers within, or directly supporting local communities. Many of these projects help the Council achieve its strategic priorities and objectives, especially those linked to Enabling Communities.

    Alternative options considered:

All options regarding the applications submitted were outlined in the Officer’s report.  Appendix 1 detailed a list of the applications received and Appendix 2 provided a summary of the applications including Officer comments.

    Resource Implications:

£60k allocated to the Community Chest 2018/19 was within the Council’s approved budget.
