Cabinet agreed to classify Hemingford Grey as a defined area for the purposes of the Rural Settlement List that would enable rural rate relief to be awarded beyond 1 April 2019. Rural Settlement list approved.
Reasons for the decision:
To enable rural rate relief to be continue to be awarded to qualifying businesses within Hemingford Grey.

Designation as an Urban Settlement
Classification into two defined areas.
Resource Implications:
There is no direct cost to the District Council of awarding rural rate relief. Funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
