Members considered the following documents (copies of which are appended in the Minute Book) collated by the Monitoring Officer to assist the Sub-Committee in its deliberations –

In light of the pre-assessment report and enquiries, the Sub-Committee discussed, in general terms, the process for the publication and the contents of the April 2008 edition of “The Bridge” magazine and clarified electoral procedures in terms of the timescale for the invitation of nominations by the Returning Officer.

The Chairman stated the purpose of the proceedings and led the Sub-Committee in their consideration of the following documents (copies of which are appended in the Minute Book) obtained by the Monitoring Officer to assist the Sub-Committee in its deliberations –

The Chairman circulated a further paper which detailed, in chronological order, the series of events which had preceded the complaint. Mr Boothman also referred to a series of relevant facts drawn from the material collated by the Monitoring Officer. An extract from the Minutes of the meeting of the Cabinet held on 26th June 2008 relating to the approval of funding options to contribute towards a County Council scheme of improvements to the A141 Kings Ripton Road, Huntingdon also was distributed. Both documents also are appended in the Minute Book.
