The Senior Officers Committee Independent Panel is appointed as and when necessary:-
To arrange for an investigation into proposed disciplinary action against a Chief Officer, Monitoring Officer or Chief Finance Officer;
To offer advice, views or recommendations to Council on the proposed course of action, including any proposal for dismissal on the grounds of conduct, capability or some other substantial reason.
The Panel comprises from two independent persons and one Member of the Cabinet.
