In doing so, the Council should meet its existing legal and
contractual obligations and take appropriate steps to protect the
interests of local taxpayers.
We further ask Cabinet to confirm that these three sites will not
be progressed for redevelopment under the current Capital &
Centric regeneration programme, and that any future proposals
concerning these Council-owned sites should be considered through a
new, transparent process supported by a clear business case and
meaningful public engagement.
This petition concerns the Council's executive regeneration
programme and its decisions as landowner and commissioning
authority. It does not ask the Council to determine, approve or
refuse any planning application, nor does it seek to prejudge the
planning merits of any future proposal.
On reaching 200 signatures a full council debate will be held.
This ePetition runs from 25/09/2026 to 24/12/2026.
